Why FTP is Not the Best Tool to Manage Construction Project Communications

Why FTP is Not the Best Tool to Manage Construction Project Communications

Project team members often tell us that they use email in combination with an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) site to provide a place to store large files. An FTP site is an online location usually hosted by an architect or contractor, where files can be passed back and forth. While an FTP may be a more reliable tool than email to exchange large project files, it still lacks the functionality that will create a streamlined process.
